It turns out that the “nameless terror” in question is a quest boss by the name of King Godfrey, the father of King Godwyn.
He was originally the old king of Coffinwell who originally planned to give his title to his son, but died before that even happened.

The prolific 17th-18th century portrait painter Godfrey Kneller died #OnThisDay 1723. He was court painter for the British Monarchy, 1689-1723, during which time he painted 10 reigning European monarchs and 8 portraits collectively known as the Hampton Court Beauties.
