This old apple tree next to our house is in full bloom and quite the popular spot for bees, wasps, and flies right now. #InverteFest #Invertebutt
And a couple more photos because I think these are just beautiful Scyphozoans. #InverteFest
Went out looking for inverts for #InverteFest yesterday and didn't get much, but the weather wasn't great. I'll have to try again today! For now, here's a rough little cicada painting, plus a recently-molted cicada I found in American Samoa a couple years ago.

For the Invertebrate Fest #InverteFest I am sharing this crab that I made drawing and painting in photoshop from scratch during an online illustration course last year. First time ever :) Calappa convexa
Another set of paintings to kick off #InverteFest, bumble bees! B. bifarius, B. vosnesenskii, and B. melanopygus (plus bonus horizontal vos), a handful of Sierra Nevada meadow species.
For #InverteFest - one of my drawings about Leucochloridium paradoxum which kinda went viral earlier this year when SOMEONE ELSE POSTED IT WITHOUT CREDIT because that's how this website works
