I like how Whitebeard approaches the discussion on the marines with Oden. He doesn't simply say "the marines are good/bad" .
He wants Oden to draw his own conclusion on whether the Marines are "mighty" like he first assumes
What a great first impression Oden makes on Whitebeard
Yasuie helps Oden have Vassals who would be respected by the country at large, as much as Oden says he hasn't changed, I think he has come to be far more caring to others in his own way
Oden is such a fascinating guy
He hates being told "don't leave Wano" above everything else, but he wants to help out Wano and lets himself be seen as a bad dude in the process.
And he wants to help the bandits land improve. He's a cool guy
The way that Oden's history is told makes it feel so grand and epic. Him wandering across Wano gradually picking up new followers along the way is so cool
Since Ace/WB both wanted a sentimental goal (acceptance/family we have to instead examine Sabos dream more as the prequel to Luffy's dream. Especially since they were brought up in succession. Oden being Sabo's parallel is also key as BOTH wanted to travel the world

“I AM ODEN - AND I WAS BORN TO BOIL!” Still experimenting with rendering styles, but I might stick with this one for a while 👍 #oden #onepiece #fanart #animefanart #procreateart

Rayleigh was most likely at God valley and Kaido saw him fight. He still puts Oden above him
@UndisputedZoro Implied by roger himself when he established SILVER AND GABAN as his best men. Implied by their actions when they led the charge against the WB pirates. Implied by gaban fighting on a equal kozuki oden, the most powerful samurai in wano who clashed with WB
@daikonologist そろそろおでん🍢がおいしい季節になってきましたね。
ODEN will be good taste in next season.....
