Susannah wasn't the only picture I did for the Dark Tower. I got caught up in the pre-release hype for the movie and painted this one, which was... weird to do. The paint kept vanishing off the paper, so I wound up using twice as much to complete.

Re, underpainting: This fanart of Susannah Dean from the Dark Tower was an trial in blending colors for natural tones - particularly with skin. Did light green 1st, then layered purple over it to make a warm brown. I then added reds, blues, & brownish-gray. I ❤️ the results!
