Killed in a flying accident 13 March 1941. RAF Flight Lieutenant Geoffrey "Sammy" Allard DFC, DFM & Bar (b.12 August 1912). WW2 ace with 19 victories, as well as five shared kills and two probable kills. Pictured with his 85 Squadron Hurricane Mk I in July 1940.
