I love how I draw this character from the front but I always struggle with her design at other angles 😭
Redrawing my AI outputs is harder than it sounds. I spent 6 periods of 45 minutes working around the proportions and angles.
how to git gud at drawing mecha for me :
I worry too much on form/shapes too much that I didn't realize I could cheat some of the angles and bend the shapes a bit
as long it's aesthetically "pleasing", go for it I guess
I'm trying to do more weird angles but this is quite painful 💀

Dumb tip but watching nail art tutorials made me good at drawing hands. Understanding the nail angles actually elevates the quality of my hand drawings
@hymin_art Only because my Photoshop was so laggy. I later found out it was due to constantly rotating the canvas to odd angles, which apparently slows Photoshop down to a crawl!
drawing most of the time boils down to "how far can you cheat the angles to fit in the canvas?!!!!"
me deciding to make head angle Z harder for myself and now realizing that it's affecting head angles x and y too...
