Shin says he was once Dai-Kaioshin’s apprentice in the DBS manga (Viz translated Dai-Kaioshin as “old Kaioshin” here), similar to Zamasu serving as Gowasu’s apprentice. It’s still not terribly clear how U7’s 5 Kaioshin structure relates to the other universes.

My only OC, Tabitha is not a Kai in title, but a Core Person born from the golden fruit, who was never granted said title because she was exiled to the demon realm at birth for having a dangerous aura about her, unfit for grand supreme kai. She never became a makaioshin either.
