@figmentals I have a soft spot for many mythological creatures but spontaneously I would choose the Mušḫuššu from Mesopotamian mythology. I remember standing awestrucked in front of the Ishtar gate for the first time - and kinda falling in love with that elegant dragonish creature.

The Worshipper of Larsa is a Mesopotamian bronze and gold statuette .Circa 2004 BC -1595 BC. It depicts a bearded man, kneeling and performing a ritual gesture. The statuette was dedicated to the Amurru by an inhabitant of Larsa, in order to safeguard the life of King Hammurabi.
Possibly a royal being from the Mesopotamian Urbaid period (3500-7000 BC). Strange human or alien creature?
