I wanted to do a daily art challenge for October, but rather than follow a specific prompt list I'm drawing a pterosaur every day! This should be fun. Starting with Bergamodactylus.

Happy This is Apatorhamphus, a pointy faced azhdarchoid pterosaur from It was just named in 2020 based on a few snout fragments which may have belonged to something with a wingspan of 3–7 m or 9.8–23.0 ft.

All about reptiles, how about a giant Triassic preying mantis? Aptly named, wait for it🥁Gigatitan🥁. With 40 cm wingspan it could go toe-to-toe with pterosaurs of the time (Also described by Sharov and stored in Moscow)

Much as I enjoyed season 2, it definitely could've used more paleofauna. It would've been awesome seeing vikings riding mastodons or Babylonian warriors on hadrosaurs.

At least we got some good looking pterosaurs and an Arsinotherium in the first couple episodes. Also Red❤️.

Here is a simple sketch on how those Oxfordian Summerville Fm. trackways are formed.

Link is to a report on a site at the base of the Morrison pterosaur tracks with sauropod tracks that we found at Flaming Gorge way back in 2002.
