Today marks 43 years since the publication of The Silmarillion. It's a challenging book, but one I hold dear.

To mark the occasion, I picked four small things that stood out to me during my current reread.

What's your favorite part?

implied blood / death //

Finally picked up the Weapons of the Metabaron by Charest and Jodorowski (and Janjetov).
You’d need the Hubble telescope to make out all the detail. I might take photos of every panel for a reread. Story’s loopy shite but it’s 29 new pages of painted Charest

Thread in the ongoing Tournament of Power: the actual tournament. (Catchy!)

Did you know the ToP stage features a giant lightbulb in the manga?

So I’ve teamed up with the good people over at to release a series of articles from my favorite manga to date.

My favorite panels, themes, and moments will be posted in this thread while I cover them in detail on their website.

It should be a wonderful reread.

Everything about House of Ex/Powers of Ten is better on reread. It’s a looping timetravel story that succeeds in rewarding repeated readings.

I initially rolled my eyes at the X-Polycule but on reread, I find it effective and a good conclusion to when they all died.

My look at Candor - pt 3

It remains a very tough, cringe worthy reread.

Buckle in and get ready for your skin to crawl.

I've been watching Nami Yo Kiite Kure and decided to reread. The anime's opening and ending are a blast.

Here's Minare

I wanted a little boost of joy in my life, so I've begun a Bandette reread. An absolute treasure. Pure joyful fun. Just look at this stuff. 💙

Maya and the Lost Cat by ,

On a rainy night Maya sees a wet cat on the roof.
Stories are told w/in the ill’s. Magerl's ill’s are whimsical and darling; the text is lyrical and sweet. Read and reread.

I really loved my THG reread. I once again found these books so fascinating and thought provoking.
The hunger games are one best examples of what young adult letterature could be ♥️

I think I’m gonna do a thread of my DB reread. I’ll pin it to my profile, but I’m gonna start from the 21st TB (where I am now) and I’ll continue all the way to the Buu arc.

Let’s go

started the animorphs reread.... here's Jake and Rachel

Fan poster for Godzilla NES Creepypasta, which I just reread. While I still don't really understand it, it's definitely the most visually creative story of its kind on the internet
