French emerging Tess Dumon’s solo “A Thing of Beauty is a Joy Forever” is now being held at Galerie Dumonteil Shanghai. The show features most of the artist’s recent creations including a dozen gouache paintings and several monumental sculptures.

After being in a bit of a slump with painting, I finally found my way back into a routine. For this painting I took my recent painting with the wolf and the hare as a starting point and then took inspiration from Beth Cavener Stichter's sculptures.

Recently recovered more of my grandfather's sculptures. I cherish them because they're pure art, made by a working person just having fun and being creative. I like being reminded that making art is a natural impulse, and none of us are special for making it, but normal.
