most of these pitches r just completely generic kids cartoons premises that have been around for decades, about kids with MAGIC POWERS who GO ON ADVENTURES!!...but with racial & sexual minorities as the gimmick / hook

& most of them have the same 2 or 3 art styles

There was something very special about the first Spy vs Spy game. Technically, it seemed like the logical move to make the sequels a scrolling affair. But the original premise of having rooms, and being to trap the doors to any of them.. it worked so well. 👍

This is a funky one! Even watching the episode it sticks out.. Maybe it is just how similar to western cartoons it feels? Being fried is a ridiculous premise but would also be quite painful.

I also drew some of my favourite forgotlings from the game, and tried to imagine what they would look like with human forms. As the premise is charming like a studio ghibli film i merged forgotton Annes characters with Studio Ghibli's style 😊 had a lot of fun drawing these!

The only thing keeping Kengan Ashura from being a top tier anime for me is the CGI used excessively. Besides that, the characters are gold, the premise is great, and the fights are intense and unpredictable. Absolutely recommended. Manga 9.5/10, anime solid 8/10. Gaolang best boy
