That was a pretty unique start for a series like this. A human in a land of beastmen as a nomad traveler. Her best friend is her sword. Interesting premise so we'll see how it goes. Ending of the episode kinda slapped.
Phantom Doctrine is a flawed game mehanics-wise, but thematically and conceptually it is such a good premise for a game.
A friend recently recommended me Sabella by Tanith Lee. It’s a great book, it’s about a vampire woman on mars but never gets as hokey as that premise implies. It’s a book that makes you feel like you’re rotting until the very end. Highly recommend it!

If anyone remembers Aldnoah Zero, I feel like these two promo images really gave the impression of a much cooler mech anime than the discount gundam space opera that we ended up with. Gundam IBO put their own take on AZ's premise and ended up as an excellent show.
