Let's talk about Mitsuo Iso's Denno Coil (2007), Gainax was also involved in one of it's best contribution of the time.

They had to pay their respect to the man, he did a lot for them providing amazing animation scenes, one after the other on Eva & FLCL in the 90'

Looking into V Gundam... i discovered something i would never believe, Toshiyuki Tsuru (Naruto) & Kazuya Tsurumaki (FLCL) working on the same OVA : Youseiki Suikoden (1993)

He is not the director but he did everything from chara design to board to unit director, it's a Tsuru gem
