A style consisting of linework but still has a painterly feel, this one started my motivation for that technique's development. https://t.co/E1ybzHjGUk
@mary_firefly Second shout out to this coloring studies I did over the amazing @tobikkun linework! (With her permission, of course) Her art is amazing and deserves all love as well <3
in spring of 2020 this was the beginning of me re-embracing inking and linework after a long time avoiding it, while also using watercolor textures to do shading. i was also experimenting with hard highlights but this essentially was the bare bones of my current style. https://t.co/potSDnEJV2
Usually don’t reuse the same linework, but had to make my icon of this guy. Hoping this lad sticks for a mascot/sona! I really love them 🥺 second art/ref made by bitethedog!
@claiborneart created the concept and sketch, as well as colored the piece, and @toldentops drew the linework.
Hey guys, have a Sunset
I'm trying to experiment with style, and I REALLY want to master colored sketches.
And while looks okay, something about the linework just isn't blending with colors in a way that feels right to me.
Any feedback or advice on the subject is appreciated!
Day 4!
Look it’s @NibeTweeter :)
I’m really proud of the linework in this one ☺️

Collab with the wonderful @MadamPersia
secret round kobold servant named Ari who is in the service of Persia
I did the linework and they did the colours
For my precious @PwuppyLuvvv !
The stabilizer jacked up to 100%, and me going helllla slow, really made the linework so much better. Thank you all for the tips! 🥺💕
@mr_plagu3 I guess A and B don't really apply to me because I never sketch first so I never have to do line tracing. I hate coloring my work so my answer is C and D interchangeably. I almost always color my work and then just post the linework because I like it more lol
Linework to clarify a sloppy sketch. Experimenting with the competing demands of rendering form in light and communicating detail.
felt really shit today but I tried something new with linework that came out neato ✨
COMMISSION PRICE UPDATES
For now I’m lowering my prices.
Characters start as a base sketch/linework of $5 per character
Flat color is $10 per character
Rendering is $15 per character
Backgrounds are an additional $20 per character dependent on the amount of detail.
•Super stylized decorative shading
•. . . don’t do decorative linework when the shading is also super extra
•Wtf how do I highlight???
•This actually looks good tho
•Back to basics – least favorite folder, very simple style
•Added shading to the linework itself
•Cel shading using a single multiply layer
•With some texturing to act cool
•Weakest at linework – learn to line
•Very simple shading
•My lines are so good now
@tsurudraws Thanks for doing this again! I'd also love more art mutuals! I love drawing character focused illustrations that tell a story and with eye popping colours and I looooove linework.
