I don't post WIPs often, but figured I'd show this off since I'm liking it so far.

It's for one of color sketch commissions I have. I'm using watercolor brushes, and I'm trying to actually later multiple colors for shading if possible.

This takes a while though.

Here's my take on the challenge, lined vs sketch! Banned items include: thick + black lineart, soft shading, dark colors, typical eye shape, small hands, small noses, watercolor brushes, aand blur shading. So I went with full chibi inspiration! This was super fun!

When it comes to photoshop brushes, I wouldn’t stress over what brushes to use. You can make a lot of good stuff without custom brushes. I used the basic PS brush and airbrush for about 90-95% of these and maybe a blender and splatter brush for the rest of the 5-10%.
