i think brown and darker green tones with turquoise go hard together especially with some muted purple or dark red accents here and there. my boyfriend is latino and his favorite colors are those and it works surprisingly well!
(i hope this was inspiring in some way lol)

I like to think of drawing/painting as similar to sculpting to help give my forms 3D feel. Darker areas are “cut” into the page, lighter areas are like adding clay on top. Keeping in mind how light reacts with the forms is most important for rendering texture and everything else
