Hard agree. I made my Yutyrannus have a Bearded Vulture color scheme and a crispy lacrimal crest. I still want paleo accuracy, but just forcing myself to stick with brown, dull colors because it would be “more realistic” takes away from the fun of putting a creative spin on it

However not everyone has to do paleoart realistically if your doing something like Egerkrans or Natalia since its more obviously cartoony you have more freedome to play around with the colours,pattern and look of the animals while also keeping the basic anatomy of the animals
