I worked in an elementary school a couple years ago, and their library was STACKED with graphic novels. Made my heart sing! Publishers are scrambling to expand their portfolio of GNs for kids and young adult readers. (Which are often a pretty darn good read for adults too!)

Writing Tip 12- it’s hard to know wen a ms is ready. A paid assessment by a prof editor is worth it at this stage. Rejection is part of a writer’s life tho. The Garden of Empress Cassia was rejected by 6 publishers before it was finally picked up by Be determined

While for his comic book covers, Schomburg was often asked to do the more racy stuff, for his scifi work for the pulp and paperback publishers, they mostly asked for sexy spaceships. Go figure!
