So when I get to the lineart of my tubbo drawing, should I stick with the soft outlines I've been doing or do a little throwback and do the solid black I used to do?

So, I sparked a discussion in a Discord server about Sonic Battle's 2D art-style. To make a point, I edited the coloured outlines in Photoshop to pure black to see how the colour pallette pops out. Some of the shading on these renders were also messed with. (1/3)

basically it was
- resolution is very small, fancy characters = noisy
- outlines and chibi help, but then it looks like every other pixel game
- people really preferred the realistic proportions in polls

still, the characters can be complex and expressive in animation!
