I stumbled upon a way to shade fur that I liked today, and made myself a tutorial so that I wouldn't forget it. Then I figured I might as well share! I use paint tool sai, but it could probably be adapted for most other art programs, too.

I gave up digital art for traditional watercolor years ago because the simpler programs didn’t do what I needed it to do and the more complex ones gave me a headache. Procreate pulled me back into it. Really simple to use, yet I can also make comics with it! Left is my 1st piece.
