What a story! Lena Bergner (1906–1981) was German, a part of the group, but her most famous piece (Metro, 1932) was done and actually produced (!) in Soviet Russia, as a textile design! Fortunately, she managed to escape the country in 1936.

Skillshare really helped me get better with watercolor, I will be taking some more classes from other artists on there. It’s nice seeing people sharing their techniques.

Year 8 have been finding out about the environmental impact of textile production. Well done to Kaiden J and Megan H for going that extra mile and creating some of your own sustainable design work.

Helen Dougall moved to Suffolk with her family in 1975, where the large open landscape fired her enthusiasm for painting, drawing and producing batik textiles https://t.co/UUtFSUtIGa # painting https://t.co/lUa33dyd3u
