then i parented my null for the 3d cylinder to the null of my characters hand that was holding the leaf to give a slight movement with both the leaf and the particles interacting with it
i never played with the physics option in #stardust by @superluminal_tv but this one seemed like it would be perfect for it. I was able to make a floor and then used a 3d cylinder to act as the leaf for the particles to bounce off of
