I use ref whenever I feel like it, whenever I need to (drew a plant recently), sometimes I find an image that I like, some painting I could pick apart. Use reference, swipe. As long as the final image is interesting and I have added something to it I don't care.

Some people are a bit confused so I'll elaborate: Psychic is a race called a "Psychomancer". Basically these are beings created from condensed psychic energy. I'll attach some examples of Psychic for reference, as well as a separate Psychomancer OC by the wonderful :))
