Using pale ash blonde as the base. Pink blonde or soft pink as the pink bits??

I'm leaning towards pink blonde because I think it's better to be subtle than BRIGHT pink. They need more muted shades ;;

Fun fact at 12 years old my first ever stylistic change when drawing a character was Subaru from .hack//SIGN.

In .hack//C*4r.=ⁿ project I'll be reviving this stylistic choice which is subtle as I make her arm sleeves and top of her skirt slightly transparent.

odd fun fact of the day but a very subtle design element i added to krow was from tokyo teddy bear... the stitched sleeves was such a cool element that it carried over like 7 years later LMAO

Sometimes it’s subtle but Shiranui’s eye sometimes looks like it squints or can’t open wide and it’s some of his expressions and just. This is a weirdly endearing design aspect. I should read his stories to see if it’s explained.

You can, though somewhat coarsely. The normal/practical case would be doing it in hBlank time; between scanlines, even though it's a bit freer.

The effect will be subtle & it can be difficult to design a palette set that will look nice for both. Here, i did it to tint the water
