Hi everyone. I have a fantasy novel manuscript that I finished the first draft of. It begins with a murder mystery in a medieval world. I'm also the illustrator of the book, which I hear is kind of rare. Hopefully I'm making a wise choice!

Happy Passover! This is a detail from the Darmstadt Haggadah, an illuminated manuscript from Germany c. 1420. The Haggadah is a text describing the Seder, the religious meal held at Passover.

The original design is held by the William Morris Gallery. It was famously inspired by the garden at Red House, which featured rose trellises inspired by medieval manuscripts. Philip Webb, Morris's friend and the architect of Red House, drew in the birds.
