When i sketch usually i try to get down the a gist of the pose and the general flow of the characters in the composition (and sometimes specific color palettes)

I then posed 2 virtual Zuuls to see how they may have fought. Amazingly, there was only one position that allowed them to mutually strike each other with the same injury patterns seen on the fossil!

I rendered 3 different compositions based on this, and sent them to the authors

A veteran artist whom i became friends with this year gave me a copy of Paul Cadmus’ biography. First time immersing myself in Cadmus’ work and im blown away so i had to do a study and examine the composition and energy of his work. Heres my take on one of his paintings.
