then I select a color at a time > duplicate it > select the flat color and do a couple shading passes using multiply for shadows, add for highlights, and screen for bounce light. I just copy the flat color and work with that for all layers, regardless of how good or bad it looks

This took me WAY too long.
10 and a half hours, ibis paint crashing about 8 times, 41 layers, and the app making me think that all of my progress was deleted 10 hours in, I am finally done.
