Hi! I'm a 18 yrs old black artist living in Romania!

I love doing illustrations and concept art and i'm a total nerd for morphology, physiology, anatomy and epidemiology!

New story on the blog! 😃

Non-coding DNA drives the evolution of avian beak morphology

Based on the paper by and his colleagues. Wonderful study! 🤩

People often ask me what is my favourite prehistoric animal...well, I suppose I would say Megantereon! I have drawn and painted this sabretoothed cat many times, and often I use a 3D model of the skull as reference to make sure that I stick to its unique morphology

My quick interpretation of based first impressions on a new paper that was published today on their beak morphology. Interestingly the beak appears to consist of unfused left and right sides.

I participate in the competition! I hope you will like the comic ^^

(I changed your morphology because I felt guilty, I was wrong looking at the model TmT)

Bit late to the party, sorry! Here is a study, used by the Horticultural society of Sweden. It shows the plant and details of its morphology. Also, Japanese and Persian from the same job.

Fishes aren’t only diverse with regards to number of species, they are also highly diverse in their morphology. Some stomiids have a functional head joint! They have evolved a “rubber neck” for the purpose of expanding their jaws wide enough to eat big things!

It's Well hello, I'm Amy a PhD candidate in functional morphology and I make science-related art (among other things!). Also, and 🦎🐟✌️

Giant, powerful jaw, forelimb morphology convergence in the two major whale clades, and inferred predatory lifestyle like a killer whale! What’s not to like about Ankylorhiza tiedemani, the new Oligocene dolphin? https://t.co/pRufLjOTKm (📸 Boessenecker et al 2020)

Guided by Henry's illustrations, the morphology, along with phylogenetic analysis shows that sauropods evolved giant articular cartilage caps good at resisting compression; while theropods expanded the femoral 'head' to deal with compression and shear.

For congratulation to our Master student who finished today (co-supervised with ). A very nice work on the morphology of the and what we can say about it (phylogeny, ontogeny, allometry).

Buzz: LIKELY PREDATOR, BUT WITH MANY OF ITS OWN PREDATORS. While the eyes are situated on the sides of the head, the dragonfly-like morphology of the eyes would imply they have many lenses, giving it an incredibly wide range of vision.

Day 7:
WIP of a Troll WoW Morphology ;
I think I found how I'm gonna name the paint when it's done! Currently doing the colors now and see how it goes 😬🥰! Maybe a new post today so stay tuned
