The regiments of the 327th marine division. Desert dingos, Newts, & Magpies
Chatfield was originally an officer in the 1st and 3rd Connecticut Infantry Regiments before being made commander of the 6th in September, 1861. He commanded them in the Department of the South for almost two years, and was wounded at the Battle of Pocotaligo.
Officer & private of the Regiment de Mortemart (a regiment in the pay of the British & largely composed of royalist emigrants), around 1799.
Part of the Armée des Émigrés, loyalist French who moved around different nations against the Revolution.
