Early thoughts on VIKINGS: VALHALLA. I'm a bit worried that it's massively over-simplifying a dramatic but complex period of British and Scandinavian history. But will keep watching, and as always, the look and feel of the age is bang-on.

If you want to play games based in Scandinavian folklore, this sale has six of them for you.
Yearwalker - a solo game about predicting the year ahead
Conjurer's Cloak - about banding together to escape a cruel imprisonment
and Sägner - an anthology of smaller story-games https://t.co/6YfsuPgsig
Little something for @Rabbiata1 featuring her OC Roar from her comic "Scandinavian Wolves" (go check it out!)
Haven't drawn "Nerin" in viking style in a while. (Parentheses on Nerin because I plan on changing her name to something Scandinavian) and I'll also be giving her a much different story than to her blue tang form. Consider this an AU.
Scandinavian Beauty and the Beast, this Norwegian folktale follows the journey of the youngest daughter of a peasant, who—for the sake of her poor but large family—agrees to leave everything she has ever known and accompany a White Bear to his mountain castle.

@heresvix I cant pick one, so here's my fennec and badger! I'm from the US, scottish/germanic/scandinavian background.
I was heavily influenced by the work of Peter Nicolai Arbo and other classical painters, especially the Scandinavians. Some details:
Drawing a pic of one of Lupa's ancestors. Scandinavian embroidery is pretty tricky to make a pastiche of. Interestingly, it looks a lot like Ojibwe embroidery.
According to Scandinavian folklore, trolls live inside mountains, rocks, and caves, far away from human habitation. They are not solitary beings, and usually live together in small family units, forming communities of trolls that dwell inside the mountains.

Let's start the year with Scandinavians!
Norwegian M1914, Danish M/1915 and Swedish M/1910 uniforms
While Anglophone metal-bands, TV producers and icecream-companies may think their excessive use of umlauts and dashed letters makes for a fun and quirky aesthetic, what they don't realise is that an average of 4 Scandinavians die from strokes every year trying to read them.
Kari Sigfridsdotter
It seems like you guys enjoyed the throwback to my old Scandinavian school of magical arts project. So here is one of the other members of the faculty- Kari "Mannevond" Sigfridsdottir. She is a professor of Charms and Curses.✨
@BosqueAli Hitler saw the Germans as inferior to Scandinavians and even hated them near the end ,often saying in his dinner talks that the german people are at best half nordic , what he refers to is the Benrath line (Benrather Linie) which the nazi saw as the alpine/nordic race divide

#FolkloreThursday: All hail the Yule Goat. A recurring theme in Scandinavian winter traditions is goats. Since Thor rode a magic chariot pulled by immortal goats, is it possible Santa's related to Thor? Chariot = sleigh, goats = reindeer? 🤯🎄🐐
