I've definitely been working on snouts more, especially when it comes to different species (I suffered from long snoot syndrome aka everything has a long dog snoot)

The Lagerstätten of Lebanon have provided some truly beautiful fossils. This is of one of the more charismatic species: Mimodactylus libanensis. It had Strikingly long wings and teeth only in the front of the snout. Images from Kellner et al., art by @JCsotonyi #FossilFriday

Did you know pigs have really strong snouts that help them forage for underground food? Well Philodidelphis here has an exceptionally strong snoot, and can pick up buried treasure! Seems like he finally found the motherload in a patch of grass after a long day of exploring.
