@ARden_Ai honestly. I am not sure. Probably just a certain resolution. I run a dual screen setup and currently use this widescreen Shinobu from Wallpaper engine. I use two 1080p monitors.
A remaster is when the source code and assets are taken from a vanilla game and enhanced for a specific platform. Graphically and sound wise, they're similar or the same as the original, but the new stuff comes in things like widescreen or higher FPS, among other bonus stuff.

This piece (from a few years ago) started out as a #SketchDailies sketch, with a square aspect ratio. When I decided to finish it in Procreate, I made it widescreen to make it more cinematic. Based on the classic TWILIGHT ZONE episode. 😬
I'd be more excited about this if Sonic Classic 2 wasn't planned for release a month after SAGE or if heyjoeway wasn't also planning on making a widescreen version of Sonic 1 themselves after finishing work on Sonic 2.

Eruru's waist was cropped out when changing over to widescreen; her position relative to the ceiling has shifted too.
Additionally her eyes are a bit more uniform, hair juts out less, and other minor shifting of features.
For those who don't know, the HD Special Edition was a reairing of the first 206 episodes of One Piece on Fuji TV a couple years back that cropped the series' original 4:3 aspect ratio for those episodes into 16:9 widescreen.
