Over the years I have moved away from painting mixed studies, but this is an old favourite. The winter subjects chosen for the diploma portfolio piece were collected from a local hedgerow and garden, even now I keep an eye for what's growing.

In October the MA Illustrators went on an adventure up to Oban and Lismore. I absolutely loved the landscape up there. The wild hedgerows and little houses round every corner inspired me to create a concertina book of my walk around Lismore. Minus the mishap in a soggy marsh!
