When at @NHM_London I always go look at the #birds, the displays are great. Here's a seriema, the two dodo models (models, not taxiderm specimens) and a Cape/Pintado petrel. #museums #museumdisplay
That painting is inspired by most beautiful hour of twilight. After the sun sets down, theatre of light is coming out to play. And so animals were coming out into that game. Dolphins, seagulls and petrels. That was music of Atlantic.

New painting complete! I am so pleased with how this piece turned out :-) “The Storm Petrel”, oil on panel, 20”x16”, will be a part of my upcoming solo show at @abbozzogallery in Toronto in September 2020.

A storm-petrel silk faille & taffeta visiting dress, by Charles Worth from the 1870s, trimmed with dark Atlantic-grey-silver steel beads; a gown for hot tisane & petits fours, dispelling old melancholy, whilst outside the rain sheets & the city rumbles then stills like the sea.
Another rainy day, so for #Day4 #30daysWild I've been going through @AshBaines07 skull collection trying to get some ID's. Most are from a Peregrine site; Ringed Plover, Grey Plover, Dunlin, Jack and Common Snipe. Also a Leach's Storm Petrel! 🤓💚
Petrel turning into a Ditto. He's pretty forgotten so might as well give it a go. Tried Ken Sugimori style. Maybe more of these style of beans into the future?
Been seeing a lot of great Sonic & NiGHTS stuff lately and was feeling super nostalgic so tried my hand at making a new fan char. I have no idea what I'm doing as per usual, but I did my best.
She's a giant petrel. I wanted her face to look more skull-like but I think this is ok.
Here's a beautiful mystery story about an ocean bird in the world's driest desert. Up until last year, no one knew where the Ringed Storm-Petrel nested. Then a group of young Chileans sniffed out their burrows (literally!) in the Atacama Desert. https://t.co/suPnhQoKmi
