So easy to forget to paint for fun. This was the underpainting this eve for little reedfringed Suffolky shorepool with waders but after half an hour of smearing it about, in go the wolves hunting wildboar in the snow.

tried doing an underpainting for the skin like in a video i saw and its!! real nice for getting subtle hue variations in the skin!! might do it more often,,
Painted this while pondering about things that can only be seen in the right light spectrum. I think that it's why I experimented with underpainting in watercolor - to see what would vanish and what would pop! Lead to some really cool layers!
