Sometimes it's the little details. I do love the crystalline snowflake patterns of salt on watercolor. My favorite part though, the cravat, hot pink underpainting with gesso, teal wc, and ink. So satisfying!

The process:

1. Sketch - focus on creating interesting shapes, character design, and composition
2. Underpainting - lay in base tones and temperature spots
3. Texture - lay in textures, wrapping around forms
4. Lighting and FX - choose light source, make it pop!
