I think the fact these two were my favourites is why I ended up an illustrator. Trier and Jaques totally different but even now I can remember how the distinct line quality of each artist made my fingers twitch. Like a smell/taste of something you'd forgotten since childhood.

I don't really understand the appeal in dark imagery such as demons, devils, ghosts, monsters, etc., and I'd rather not judge, but there seems a distinct imbalance of esoteric subjects in Thomas content; enlightenment, spirituality, angels, light magic, etc being the minority.

Emphasis on "classic fool" yeah. I don't see a lot of other people picking up on this aspect of the comic. Her portrayal in this comic is downright Shakespearean. She's the Fool to Bruce's King Lear. A court jester as in folklore, yet still distinctly Harley. Tbh I'm impressed.

Here's an even clearer look at her horizontal pupils in this art by her artist, rj/realmbw. As you can see, by the time she's E2, Deepcolor has lost both these distinctive pupils and her glasses. Her pupils have become circular, with a red tint.
