Gonna try my hand at to improve my painting skills, mostly color and edge control. To start things off here is a cloud study that took a little longer than I would usually spend on a sketch. It's really easy to get lost in all the subtleties in clouds.

Couldn't sleep, so I started messing with the brushes (and brushpack!) I'll be using for the ENTIRETY of . The entire month, except client work, there will be NO paintings, only sketches/charcoal/pencil studies. Worked large to test textures and smudges.

Ah motivated me to dive in last year & it was so therapeutic for me. It's easy to overwork & then forget to treat ourselves to art playtime! I hope to participate again this year, as well. I had some excellent ideas that came out of last year's MSAD!
