4. Over the next week I steadily built up detail in the background characters and model, getting super-helpful critique and paintovers from Paul (see the loose mockups here) to play around with lighting, pose, value, etc.

These really helped keep me pushing forward!

Yeah so. The way a farmers tan works is my face and arms are a shade darker but I'm actually pretty light skinned.

Nobody "whitewashed" me and I certainly didn't ask for him to alter my skin color. Plus lighting, etc.

I'm happy with my piece and the way he made me look :3
