Henyo Ina! This is a personal art I made quite awhile ago ;w; I tried to challenge myself with lighting, background as well as composition. I do struggle with depths and it feels evident from the shading and perspective. I'm sure there's a lot to improve on so any advice is

Here's something I wish I was able to learn sooner; I think many starter anime-style artists begin by colouring shadows like on the left. Try change it up by starting with darker values and painting in direct lighting, and you'll find it becomes much simpler to render!

@erikoartsu Yes, the layer mode is hard light! Usually I use different layers for shadow and lighting, but this technique uses just one. It looks like this on normal mode

@RadicalHighway_ question! I know that when you erase from your shadow layer it becomes your lighting, but how do you get it to apply to your other colors? do you just use a multiply layer and lower the opacity?

逆光対策に「anime screencap」を入れちゃうって手もあるけど塗りが完全にアニメ寄りになっちゃう
茶店さんも指摘してたけど、この状態で「backlighting, backlight」をNPに入れると明らかに逆光が出なくなる(逆に入れないとそれなりに出てくる)
