Cover to Scoop Annual 1981. I fear I don't know the artist's name, but what a bold use of colour! That audacious red backdrop & the use of blue to carry the eye from title to shorts to trews before exiting stage-right. And that's not to mention the absence of hard edges.
As a boy I was amazed at the work of Alan Sorrell. His reconstruction of Dirleton was the first image of its kind I ever saw. So I copied his techinque of boxing views a section at a time. I used (8 pence) Postcard images in 1981 then scaled up to A3 size (Tantallon example)
