So as a late night thing, I made a interpretation of Sonic.EXE named "Velleity". Story things will be in the thread but basically this is a version of Sonic where he is self aware that he is in a game of Sonic 3 but is forced to be controlled by a player.

Wake up babe, new Sonic.exe variant, Genno Sonic. The idea behind this one is a toei styled sonic.exe that's pretty docile compared to other variants and prefers to be sealed off and isolated from all aspects of life, would be a shame if someone aggravated him.
