Snopes comes down that the Curtiss claim about the candy bar being named for Ruth Cleveland is *false*. When the bar was renamed Baby Ruth, Babe Ruth was already nationally famous.

It still remains one of my favorite candy bars. I missed out on getting some this Halloween.
