Wanted to try doodling with the airbrush, so here's Guillaume

The covers have that super detailed airbrushed look and some splashes (and even individual panels on pages) seem to have the same look in b&w. The art is by a guy named Denis Beauvais who was mostly a paperback cover painter from what I can find.

The airbrush color was great for doing that clean shade gradient, but imagine doing that for hundreds of frames!

The prince reveal lost out bc Glenn clearly layout lots of CONTRAST shadows & a low angle...which... did not happen in the final product. Leading to wonky faces

these are all default brushes in procreate. I don't usually use the flat brush for colouring, but it's pretty fun! I usually use the medium airbrush for rendering & gesinski ink for foliage

I will never not say the airbrush is one of the best tools for artists (at least when it comes to my style of shading and lighting and whatnot) like seriously look at the difference.

Right peeps I need help... which of these looks better in your opinion?

Airbrush or Watercolour? (they have a description saying which is which)

I'll put a poll below

I just did swirly or poofy things with an airbrush for smoke. Had mixed feelings about the results most of the time.

good question!!! depending on the shading I'll make an airbrush layer in between the pieces for transition. (see arm below) so when I go to rig I can bend it around the arm and have it be a little more seamless when it bends.
