Another - and this time, even more James Ironwood!
The left is a design I played around with for a younger version of Ironwood, the right is Ironwood in JC Leyendecker style, basically a study of (one half of) a piece called 'Couple in Boat.'

Details! It was fun to paint this, Ive found that doing studies that are quite different from my normal style has helped me improve things that I might not think about! Leyendecker is especially good for me, since he used a lot of brush strokes and textures that aren’t obvious.

This is Phineas Pett, Charles I's naval commissioner. At the King's request he & his son Peter built the biggest ship the navy had seen. HMS Sovereign of the Seas, launched 1637 (& 1637 tons) was the first 3-decker.
Phineas even made a pull along toy ship for young Charles II.
