Primrose
Signs of spring appearing everywhere, although given the pouring rain and gale-force winds outside at the moment, it's hard to believe!
A very hasty primrose today based on a photo by @LeifBersweden, with thanks.

Poulnabrone dolmen on the Burren, Ireland
A neolithic tomb dating from 4200-2900 BC, still standing after many centuries have passed and much rain has fallen...

10 minute-Hellebore
Ran out of time today but here it is, in all it's hurried informality. I'm just so pleased to see this one - the first of the year - out in the garden.

Phalaenopsis orchid
I'm old enough to be continually astonished and delighted that orchids are widely available and affordable. They were flowers of fable and exoticism when I was little.

It's the start of the Chinese 'Year of the Rabbit'. Here's one from a photo posted recently by @butserfarm (with thanks).

Kingfisher
A kingfisher regularly fishes in our pond and I'm always astonished at how a bird wearing electric blue and bright orange can be so hard to see against the bank😁
This one from a lovely 📷 by @hertskingfisher with thanks.

Fungi
Not sure which one, I'm afraid, but I was struck by the extraordinary shape. Do tell me if you know which species it is.
From a lovely photo by @Elaine_B71, with thanks.

Winter aconite
Like little light bulbs, coming up in winter to brighten the day when everything else is still dormant and dark.
