theres a lot of trusting the process involved here
1. sketch
2. flat colors under sketch
3. some added layers to map shading
4. hide sketch, merge layers, and just go ham painting in that one layer idk just vibe with it

Here are some examples of mine, idk if they help but visual stuff helps me haha

For the edge of the fellas in 1st I used overlay layers, + for the knife it was overlay + add layers, techno has a white rimlight + overlay airbrush around edges, particle effects can help too!
