WIP. Using very mild airbrush more on the edges and midtones just makes the figure way more solid and punchy. I've been looking at a lot of mignon's art and there's just so much subtle soft brushing I've been missing out on. We live to learn from the greats.😤

ibispaint x; all main brushes i use are all free besides two custom made ones for extra textures; hard dip pen for lineart, soft felt tip pen for coloring large areas, airbrush 60% for soft gradations. for all extra things shown below they can be found in FX tab

Thank you! The painting process just takes a little time. I start by placing clusters of hair as faces. Then I draw in the flow with a hairbrush. I add a bright color on top with the same hairbrush. Finally, I add shadows using a multiply layer.

if you sorta notice, it's not pure airbrush but there's some other "soft" pen used in it

either they stack tons of colors or idk magic watercolor brush that blends depending on your pen pressure

I was not happy with the shading and the colors, too muddy... I wanted it to look a bit theatrical but it got too dark and gray, the skin wasn't appealing.

I like to paint now that i know how instead of airbrushing everything. I hope you like it better too!

I fill colors with hard pen and use SAI's airbrush and the paint brush.
Settings are the second edge shape, 0 min size, 50 density, fuzystatic 100 and no texture.
Blending 100, dilution 50, persistence 100, 40 edge hardness and hard<->soft to 200 (and pressure ticked off) https://t.co/2saNz7A6Lb
