Reducing colors to B&W and only playing with contrast is a great way to check the aesthetic level of a composition. If it looks decent in B&W, it almost certainly looks great with color.

Miss thoses dynamics original poses, or incredibles renders.

Fenyon is an outstanding artist, but since he is here i found the atrworks technically beautifull, but artistically boring.

Process breakdown:

I start with a generated output that gives the block out of composition and colors, and then in Photoshop I fix the broken parts (like his knees) & then collage several elements in with digital overpaint to combine and add finer details.
